Simultaneously, he was elected as the Vice-President of Siddheshawri Degree College, further solidifying his reputation as a promising young leader.Continuing his ascent, MP Shawon served as the Vice-President of Bangladesh Student League, Dhaka South, from 1992 to 1994.

His dedication and organizational acumen earned him the position of Organizing Secretary of Bangladesh Awamileague Juboleague, Dhaka South, from 1994 to 1999. He further strengthened his ties within the party as the Joint Convener of Bangladesh Awami Juboleague, Dhaka South, from 1999 to 2001.MP Shawon's leadership prowess reached new heights when he assumed the role of General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami Juboleague, Dhaka South, from 2001 to 2012.
